See this content in the original post

In this episode of Camp Nowhere, while exploring on Malcolm Island, BC MAK meets Troy Bright, an Orca researcher of 28 years on the island. They discuss how he came to be interested in Killer Whales, how a wrong ferry serendipitously brought him to both Malcolm Island and the sight of his research for nearly three decades. Troy shares the insights of his research and the differences between the resident whales of coastal BC vs the transient whales that pass through the area.

If you’d like to support Troy’s work you can contribute to his GoFundMe. He is currently saving up for a better camera to document the rubbing events.
