Snowshoeing with Old Growth Sequoias
Owen and I have both been feeling a visit was long overdue. However this time, we wanted to see the park for the first time in the winter under a blanket of snow. In order to hike in the snow, we needed to pick up a little extra gear. We hatched the idea to rent some snowshoes from REI, so we could hike in the snow out to see the Giant Sequoia trees of the Mariposa Grove.
The End | Lost & Found EP.15
After leaving Canwell Glacier is was time to start making our way out of Alaska and towards the lower 48. Sadly, we had a few pressing “hard dates” on our calendar that forced us to compress our timeline to get back to the US. However we made stop in Fairbanks to have some much needed time with our family!
From Glacier to Glacier | Lost & Found EP.14
Thanks to the scouting mission, we knew right where we needed to go to get to the pool we’d decided on the day before. As Owen was changing out of his clothes, a tour group saw what we were doing and came over to watch.

Overlanding in a Borrowed Four Wheel Camper (Pt. 1)
Our friends over at Four Wheel Campers asked if we’d be interested taking a test trip in two of their demo rigs. Not ones to pass up such a fun sounding opportunity we immediately turned to our friends Chase and Aimee of Tight Loops and asked if they’d be interest in trading in their Vanagon for two weeks to travel in a FWC!
Backpacking on the Olympic Peninsula
As we crept ever closer to the US and Canadian border we found ourselves in the coastal rainforest of Washington. Those of you who have been following us for at least the last year, you know that we have fully become desert dwellers. The moss-draped trees felt completely foreign to us, but we were so hungry to dive deep into this incredible new terrain.
Summer Adrift Episode 15: Anniversary Climb
We started this episode with a bang. We were waiting for enough snow to melt off of Teewinot so we could climb it. This mountain is why we were going in and out of Jackson countless times over the summer. For those who are not familiar Teewinot is the peak that stands just to the right of the Grand when viewing the Tetons from Jackson. When we arrived after the Winds we were warmed up and ready and so was the mountain!
